Georgia Council for International Visitors Records, 1966-2004.

The collection includes administrative materials focusing on the organization of programs as well as statistics on the visitors and their interests. Other administrative materials include by-laws, minutes from board and executive meetings, public relations materials, fund raising documents, newsletters, and documentation of the programs hosted by the organization. The bulk of the collection is itineraries for group and individual visits to Atlanta. The itineraries detail participants' tours and meetings including those with universities, corporations, health organizations, and tours of local points of interest. The visitor files also include correspondence between the GCIV and visitors regarding the logistics and evaluations of their visits

The National Council for International Visitors founded the Atlanta Council for International Visitors (ACIV) in 1962. In 1973, the organization merged with the Atlanta International Student Bureau.
